College Students

Education

Gregg has been a champion for affordable college.  He has fought to adequately fund our state universities and colleges, including UConn.  And he led the effort to ensure that all student can access financial aid.

Gregg was the leading legislative champion of the sucessful effort to make Connecticut's Community College system free to all first-time, full-time students.

He has a strong record of ensuring that the state remains a partner in funding our local schools and played a key role in securing funding for the locally-approved new elementary school.

Jobs, the Economy and Prosperity

Gregg knows that the best path forward in Connecticut if for us to invest responsibly in our future. Our business leaders have told us they need an educated workforce and a much-improved transportation system. We can deliver that along with initiatives that help working people.  That's why we increased the minimum wage and passed an earned family leave program to ensure that everyone benefits from our growing economy

Health Care

Certainly the global pandemic which hit Connecticut very hard demonstrated the need to ensure that all citizens must have access to affordable, quality healhth care.  Gregg has worked to make sure that health care is there when you need it.  He has strongly supported Connecticut's robust implementation of Obamacare and supported ensuring that essential health care benefits must be provided by all insurers.

The Environment

Gregg has been a champion for the environment and the non-partisan League of Conservation Voters has awarded him a 94% lifetime rating, one of the highest in the State House.  He has fought to preserve open space, protect farmland, promote alternative energy and opposed fracked gas waste.
