Meet Gregg

Gregg Haddad is Fighting for Mansfield and our Values.
Gregg has been a fighter for affordable quality higher education and he authored the law creating CT's free community college program. Gregg successfully increased state aid to Mansfield by $9 million per year to help hold down property taxes and pay for good schools and services. He has a strong record on environmental issues and been an effective advocate for improving voter access and other good government reforms.
In addition to his service as State Representative, Gregg has served as the Chair of the New England Board of Higher Education and on the Board of Directors for Imagine College, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that all students get the help they need to pursue a college education. Gregg also previously served as a member and President of the Board of Directors at the Access Agency, a member of the Board of Directors of Mansfield Downtown Partnership and the Mansfield Discovery Depot. He was Deputy Mayor on the Mansfield Town Council for 11 years and started his public service on our Planning and Zoning Commission.
Born and raised in Willimantic, Gregg has lived in eastern Connecticut all his life. He attended UConn and earned his degree in Physics. Gregg met his spouse Donna Becotte at UConn and soon after graduating they became permanent residents here in Storrs. Their daughter, Natalie is a student at Mansfield Middle School. He and his family have two dogs, Big Boy and Brownie.
